The company provides customers access to 5 billion searchable documents from more than 35,000 legal, news and business sources.Responsibilities LexisNexis, the industry leader in information and productivity tool solutions is looking for an A Player candidate to join our Team of Strategic Account Executives providing Analytics Solutions to Fortune 1000 corporate accounts. This position is for the hunter type that has a consultative sales / solutions oriented background that thrives on working on large complex sales opportunities at the Director, VP and C level for departmental and enterprise wide solutions. The ideal candidate will understand the needs of corporate business departments, specifically corporate communications, marketing, brand management, strategic planning, market research and others and be able to position the LexisNexis suite of Analytic Solutions to solve the needs of each department and bundle our applications into an enterprise wide solution. Familiarity with a Seibel based CRM and Miller Heiman Strategic Selling a plus. Industry experience desirable. Ability to travel upto 40% in the eastern United States required. Accountabilities: 1. Meet or exceed monthly and yearly revenue objectives. 2. Develop strategic sales plans for Tier 1 prospects that include identifying new revenue growth opportunities in the assigned territory, developing creative demand generation strategies aimed at positioning LexisNexis as the superior source in meeting the potential buyers information needs, managing all resources necessary to secure the business, (i.e. technical and product support, tactical marketing, pricing, etc.), forecasting revenue, developing key contacts and business relationships with influential individuals and high-level decision makers, and identifying competitive threats and developing effective countermeasures. 3. Sell the value of LexisNexis to business and professional users within an assigned territory by articulating how our solutions meet their information needs. This will be accomplished through cold calling to secure first appointments, advancing appointments, closing appointments, consulting sessions and group presentations. 4. Understand the value of LexisNexis products and pricing as well as competitive offerings and articulate LexisNexis benefits in a manner meaningful to a customer. 5. Develop an in-depth understanding of all LexisNexis products and competitive products to articulate the benefits and advantages of LexisNexis products, and handle customer concerns or objections. 6. Consistently maintain an updated sales funnel and forecast via a CRM tool. 7. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications 1. 7-10 years proven business to business sales experience and track record of exceeding annual quota 2. Strong new business prospecting skills including but not limited to cold calling, e-marketing initiatives, networking and industry events. 3. Strong Team Selling background and proven ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external influencers. 4. Understanding of the corporate and/or professional research process and have the ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of Analytic Solutions and services and how they apply to the potential buyers needs. 5. Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity and technical (PC and applications) knowledge. 6. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills. 7. Strong time management and organizational skills 8. Strong forecasting skills and pipeline growth and management skills 9. Complete understanding and expertise of standard computer hardware and software applications including CRM (Siebel 7.8) and Microsoft applications 10. Proven adoption of professional selling methodology such as Miller Heiman or equivalent desirable. 11. Meet and/or exceed expectations in all defined skill areas. 12. Demonstrate leadership and impact beyond Acct Exec accountabilities.This is a home based position.
