Supply Chain/Logistics Manager

The Supply Chain/Logistics Manager will be responsible for the flow of product through 3PL's at the JFK Warehouse. This candidate must be quick on their feet and able to work independantly. The Logistics Manager must be able to take ownership for any and all responsibilites throughout the day, be an analytical thinker and a natural leader.There will be 1 support staff working with the Logistics Manager, so being able to motivate and delegate responsibilities are paramount. The ideal candidate must be looking to grow their career while overlooking all of the Supply Chain functions within the warehouse.The Logistics Manager will have direct exposure to Client and Customer issues and must be able to handle these issues promptly and efficiently.Some Key Functions for the Logistics Manager:•Manage merchandise reception process from the vendors placed in Europe and Asia•Manage the process of shipping to retail customers•Assure all processes of incoming merchandise (returns, refusals, etc) are done properly and at the highest quality level•Manage the warehouses of the company placed in New York and Canada, assuring high levels of efficiency•Be the communication point between Logistics and Customer Service departments•Manage third party warehousingWho we're looking forCandidates that will be considered for the Supply Chain/Logistics Manager must possess great analytical skills. They must have a working knowledge of excel and experience working with ERP systems. As this is a fast paced environment, the candidate must also be used to working with high volumes of information.
