Supply Planning Specialist

The Supply Planning Specialist is a newly created position due to tremendous growth. This individual will report to the Director of Logistics and Transportation and be responsible for the following:The position will report to the Director of Logistics and Transportation and be responsible for the following key areas:•Develop and deploy inventory purchasing strategies to ensure continuity of supply and efficient distribution of product from internal and external vendors. •Partner with stakeholders in sales, marketing, finance, demand planning and order administration teams to maximize customer fulfillment while concurrently minimizing working capital investment and landed cost. •Present recommended monthly purchase adjustments and assumptions to cross-functional S&OP team for consensus agreement. •Provide supply chain fulfillment expertise to S&OP process to influence strategies and decisions.•Identify and resolve demand/supply imbalances and lead time variances with key stakeholders. •Partner with product development, sales, demand planning, transportation and vendors to successfully manage product transitions.•Coordinate requirements with global partners (US, Asia, Europe) to allocate limited product supply from vendor. •Lead supply planning transformation with best-in-class processes and leveraging technology.Who we're looking for• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field or related experience.• APICS certification or equivalent would be strong advantages.• 5+ years of applicable Supply Chain Planning experience, preferably inventory management, at a consumer products company with global operations. • Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative and statistical analyses complimented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions, make recommendations. • Requires strong problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills. • Project management experience and high level proficiency with common ERP systems, especially SAP.• Position requires a high level proficiency with MS Excel, reporting software and competency in Word and PowerPoint. • Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills. • Strong sense of urgency, ability to work with minimal direction.About our clientOur client is a worldwide leader of high quality, high fidelity audio and electronic products for automotive, consumer and professional use.
