Job Description:
The Chicago office is seeking a Support Services Assistant to provide administrative support to Support Services Manager and Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, substantial clerical tasks including administrative filing, copying and assistance with the secretarial review process, telephone responsibilities, including continuous monitoring of telephone calls throughout the day to ensure that attorney staffing needs are met, daily input and maintenance of Firm’s attendance and overtime databases, creating and updating spreadsheets, composing routine e-mail correspondence, transcribing voice mail messages, and other miscellaneous projects assigned by Support Services Manager or department.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or other fast-paced environment, the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands, a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, superior organizational skills, a customer service orientation, a proactive work ethic, attention to detail and flexibility for overtime. Must be proficient in MS Word 2000 and type a minimum of 45+ wpm. Excel experience is also strongly preferred.
