Vice President of Credit

The Vice President of  Credit Analysis acts as an analyst responsible for managing credit product risk and profitability for a portfolio of credit clients and monitoring loan performance to ensure that loan quality adheres to guidelines; assists Relationship Managers in marketing credit to clients; researches and analyzes pertinent financial statements; evaluates a firm’s stability, aptitude of management, and creditworthiness; and prepares and presents written credit proposals for credit approval. 



Major Duties



1.  Manages credit product risk and profitability for a portfolio of credit clients and monitors loan performance to ensure that loan quality adheres to guidelines.



2.  Supports Relationship Managers through financial/credit analysis.



3.  Researches and analyzes pertinent financial statements; evaluates a company’s stability, aptitude of management, and creditworthiness; develop cash flow projections and forecasting models; and prepares and presents written credit memoranda for credit approval.



4.  Coordinates preparation and execution of legal documentation and provides periodic updates of client credit quality to Credit Committee.



5.  Collects all necessary client prepared information and completes client financial statement spreadsheets and projections of client’s financial condition.



6.  Implements appropriate pricing and covenants on credit facilities and monitors covenant compliance.



7.  On an on-going basis, monitors client loan portfolios to ensure that loan quality adheres to guidelines.



8.  Travels to client locations as required.





Minimum Requirements: Masters of Business Administration – Finance, Credit Analysis focus 10 years of related previous credit experience Solid written and oral communication skills Computer Technical Systems and Applications such as advanced Excel macro/programming Analytical /Statistical Analysis skills and Data Extraction skills Read and spread financial statement, personal and corporate tax returns, and bank statementsExperience with law firm credit analysis a plus
