Accounts Payable Clerk

Samson Dental Practice Management, a successful and established multi-location dental management company, is seeking a strong and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for our Corporate Office in Kansas City, MO.


The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for responsible to ensure that all invoices are properly coded; charge expenses to accounts and cost centers; and verify vendor accounts while adhering to established practice philosophy, goals and objectives.


Essential Functions:

· Scan invoices, check requests into imaging system.

· File all accounts payable paid invoices and manual checks.

· Match checks after check runs.

· Operate a computer terminal to enter and update accounting data relating to utilities, blanket purchase orders, and vendor payments.

· Code invoices and process bi-weekly check runs

· Maintain invoices for multiple locations

· Ensure timely payment of all invoices

· Maintain vendor files

 

Experience and Education

· General knowledge of accounting and clerical functions normally acquired through a high school education and/or related experience

· Ability to process accounts payable vouchers quickly, efficiently and accurately.

· Ability to perform effectively with little to moderate supervision.

· Ability to interact effectively and professionally and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times. 

· Ability to check and verify the accuracy of accounting entries and vendor data.

· Ability to operate a computer, enter, retrieve, and update data using our accounting software programs
