We are currently seeking a talented individual with an accounting background for our Accounts Payable position.

 

Primary responsibilities:Process all invoices and check requests;Maintain/create accounts payable files;Handle all calls re: accounts payable;Acquire and verify approvals for invoices;Adjust Journal entries to reclass accounts as necessary;Accrue for expenses;Preparation of Sales & Use Tax Returns;Set up new vendors and maintain vendor list to ensure accurate information;Analyze and reconcile vendor accounts;Process accounts payable month-end and year-end closings and accruals;Balance, print, and report 1099s;Work on special projects as needed.

 

The Ideal candidate will possess:3-5 years of experience with the Accounts Payable process;Skill in data entry (10 key by touch);Skill in planning, organizing and managing time across multiple tasks and deadlines;Ability to research, investigate and interview others to identify and discover information;Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision;Ability to reconcile and tabulate accounts, statements and credit cards;Understand general ledger, chart of accounts and month-end closing deadlines;Self-starter with strong problem solving skills;Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel.  Experience in Solomon and Lotus Notes a plus.
