Accounts Receivable Associate

i2s, Inc. ("ideas to solutions"), is a professional services firm that provides expertise in the areas of intelligence analysis, enterprise architecture, knowledge management, systems engineering, and advanced software development to Fortune 500 and governmental clients.  We have an immediate need for an experienced Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team of professional in Columbia, Maryland.

In this role, you will be responsible for all activities in the accounts receivable function including:

 

·  Managing all collection activities (sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies if necessary, etc). 

·  Maintaining accurate records (weekly collections report, A/R filing system, etc.)

·  Monitoring methods and procedures of accounts receivable function to improve efficiency.

·  Creating new processes and procedures as necessary.

·  Participating in special projects as required. 

 

 

Position Requirements include:

 

·  Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related area plus 3 years A/R and/or general accounting experience

·  Strong analytic, financial analyses and reporting skills.

·  Demonstrated experience working closely with customers/clients to collect unpaid amounts and keep the aging of receivables to a minimum in comparison to overall projections and analysis

·  Strong MS Excel abilities; proficiency in other MS Office Suite software products.

·  Deltek experience a plus.
