CRA’s Energy and Environment – Litigation & Regulation practice applies world-class economic expertise in designing and analyzing industry regulations, and providing comprehensive approach to complex commercial litigation, litigated regulatory proceedings, bankruptcies, and arbitrations to form the specific needs of the energy industry.
We are seeking an Associate Principal for our Energy and Environment – Litigation & Regulation The associate principal will have high-level direction, but must be able to work independently to manage projects of moderate complexity, or to manage significant sub-tasks of highly-complex projects. The Associate Principal will, in close coordination with senior officers and industry experts, define and direct analytic tasks, manage project staffing, interact directly with clients, oversee the production of final output, and manage administrative aspects of the project. We are accepting applications for Boston, MA and Washington D.C.
Candidates must be able to creatively analyze complex, multifaceted problems and communicate and present conclusions effectively to both internal and external audiences. Additional responsibilities
· Produce reports or presentations, or major sections of reports or presentations, that involve substantial creativity in analysis or presentation and require minimal revision
· Manage the integration of inputs for reports or presentations that involve complex issues
· Evaluate project assignments and individual skills and orchestrate project staffing effectively, providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members
· Handle complex assignments with indirect supervision where there is latitude for independent action and decision-making.
· Manage overall project budgets and client invoicing with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
· Advanced-degreed training (PhD, or MA/MS with substantive work experience) in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or allied fields
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting and/or the energy and environment industries
· High-level skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis methods and techniques
· Proven staff and project-management skills
· Advanced budgeting and project-planning skills
· Experience in client interaction, facilitation, and presentation
