Benefits Manager

Primary involvement will be to manage different areas of employee benefits, which can include: health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement programs, and executive benefit programs. The ideal candidate will be principally responsible for all compliance matters, including but not limited to: ERISA, IRS regulations, and other legislative rules that impact benefit matters. This position will report to Director, Benefits and Human Resources Administration. • Responsible for the administration of various aspects of our health, welfare, and retirement programs • Keep apprised of various ERISA, IRS, and other legislative rules and regulations, as well as make recommendations on policy or procedures to ensure compliance • Participate in the preparation and distribution of Benefits Plan Contracts, Plan Documents, and Summary Plan Descriptions • Provide expertise and guidance in Leave of Absence administration and ensure compliance with internal policies, ADA, and FMLA laws • Research and provide recommendations on enhancements to benefit programs • Participate in acquisition due diligence • Manage Work/Life Programs • Manage special projects, as assigned • Supervise and provide guidance to benefits staff • Bachelors degree • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits; additional experience in HRIS and M&A work is desirable • Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously is essential • Strong analytic, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage a continuously changing environment Please apply through our website at www.huronconsultinggroup.com/careers.aspx.
