Business Analyst

 

 

Business Analyst Location: Arlington, VA

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting Senior Leadership with organizing, planning, project management, reporting and tracking activities and financials associated with business portfolios and contributes to the development of business proposals.

Primary Responsibilities Performs or assists with financial management tasks including facilitating processing of all invoices (client, consultant, and vendor); tracking, reporting and reconciliation of project costs; and accounts receivable, and works directly with the Finance team to ensure financial accuracy of the business. Maintains portfolio’s balanced score card (BSC) and reports progress:
- Tracks and reports Gross Margin % to assist with achieving Gross Margin target;
- Tracks budget and growth. Inputs client information, opportunities and contracts into GovWin database. Manages and tracks all pipeline updates. Contributes to proposal development by assistaing executives with analysis, pricing and determining labor categories. Conducts ongoing analysis of staffing hours to support hiring decisions and for backlog and utilization planning. Maintains cost, schedule and performance tracking at the portfolio level. Performs or assists with management tasks including developing budgets and project plans. Assists with identifying next steps and action items resulting from meetings and discussions; follows up on those items. Looks for opportunities to reduce operating costs without degrading quality of BSC perspectives. Supports the executives in the organization with monthly performance management review for the practice areas, including reporting on the status of key deliverables per our contract requirements. Reviews business management processes to identify continuous improvements and efficiencies. Assists with scheduling and meeting preparations. Knowledge and Experience Bachelors degree in related field and demonstrated track record of consistent achievement. 3-5 years of professional experience; financial analysis experience preferred. Demonstrated strong analytical and business experience; Strong proficiency in MS Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Project).
