Business Development Manager, Financial Services
Business Development Manager (BDM):
Financial Services
Senior sales/ business development person with experience in complex solution/services selling into the financial services industry.
Must have experience with selling consulting and IT outsourcing services.

What you do:
· Position Our IT service offerings and domain competencies appropriately with customer contacts at CxO, IT, and vendor management levels
· Pro-active and effective sales planning and funnel management – covering market segmentation, identification of target accounts, development of account strategy and value proposition, and ownership of sales cycle (suspect-qualify-prospect-close)
· Consultative selling – leading to multi-year and multi-million $ deals
· Develop and present proposals that clearly convey business needs, project approach, relevant experience and client benefits
· Willing to travel extensively around the country
· Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques in securing profitable business
· Manage new relationships and scale accounts
Qualifications/Required Skills:
· Strong Hunter profile sales manager with 5+ years of relevant business development experience – must include at least 3 years of experience in Financial Services industry (Banking, Capital Markets, Mortgage, Insurance, Payment Solutions, ISVs)
· Knowledge of Securities industry business processes – front office, mid-office, operations, in the AM, Brokerage, Private Banking space a plus
· Personable and able to work well in a global sales and delivery team environment
· Enough of a risk taker and sufficiently confidant to be comfortable with a significant portion of compensation based on commissions – ability to generate $3+M new business revenue
· Creative, can think up new product ideas and variations on a theme
· Strong communication skills – both verbal and written. Good telephone comm. skills. Good listening skills. Good presentation skills
· Strong consultative selling skills - must be able to conceptualize and articulate business problems and be able to package consulting and IT outsourcing services to solve such problems
· Must have experience with selling consulting and IT outsourcing services. Previous experience selling global delivery models for IT applications, infrastructure management and BPO services, with particular emphasis on offshore, will be a major plus.
· Must be able to handle CxO level contacts, and also IT and Vendor management contacts
· Must be familiar with selling into mid-large sized firms
· Be able to understanding competitors' strengths and weaknesses and effectively articulate Our competitive advantage
Experience:
College graduate – preferably MBA. Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more leading, well respected financial services or IT consulting/outsourcing firms. Experience leading a sales team is a plus.
