BuyerQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor s degree from a four year college or university; or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Successful candidate must be able to articulate knowledge of integrated manufacturing systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Man-Man or other product. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to build spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel including simple formulas and formats. Candidates should be able to utilize Microsoft Word effectively in writing. Knowledge of Visio or other flow chart software is desirable.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSAPICS CPM or NAPM CPIM is desired. Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the concepts covered in these two programs.ATTITUDEThe incumbent is required to demonstrate a positive attitude on a consistent basis when working with others.TEAMWORKThe incumbent must demonstrate and promote teamwork on a consistent basis within the assigned department as well as across functional lines of operations. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and contracts, ability to write reports, correspondence, procedures, statements of work and request for proposals and the ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers, customers or employees.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSThe position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages and the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in non standard situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift items to a height of three to four feet and/or move items that weigh up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
