Computer Operator- Marlbourough MA- 2 positionsLocal Candidates only will be considered. HOURS (Position 1): Weekends 12 hours shifts, plus 2 floating 8 hour shifts during the weekHOURS (Position 2): 2nd shift Mon-Fri 3pm-11 pm Due to rapid growth, we seek a Computer Operator living close to Marlborough, MA to compliment our professional team. Responsibilities: * Provide expertise in the operation and support of Microsoft NT and UNIX environments.* Monitor batch production to ensure successful completion.* Plan, implement, and communicate system and application migration and upgrades.* Maintain comprehensive, timely, and accurate system logs and system reporting data.* Generate status reports, problem reports and system logs and system reporting data.* Observe and evaluate job, system and program performance.* Conduct nightly backups on all systems.* Monitor console messages.* Monitor Network links.* Adjust the configuration of operating system procedures.* Maintain logs.* Document procedures.* Distributing reports.* Provide assistance and support to other support groups in troubleshooting mainframe, network and communication problems.* Supporting users over the phone with system support questions.
