Communication Specialist

A Communication Specialist works with Communication and other Consultants to help clients develop effective, accurate and timely employee communication strategies, work plans and materials.  To fulfill this role, the Communication Specialist will:

Draft and edit complex benefit, compensation and organizational change information in plain English for targeted audiences using appropriate media. Coordinate appropriate reviews (compliance, technical, editorial, client, vendor, etc.) and resolve issues raised during the review process to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of the materials. Assist in developing communication strategies and work plans. Assist Communication Consultants with project management and production coordination. Effectively manage assigned tasks independently, delivering work on time and within budget. Operate well in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision required. Support business development activities.BA degree in English, communications, journalism, human resources or related field of study Two or more years' experience writing corporate communications, including compensation, benefits and policies and/or applicable paralegal experience Advanced editing, proofreading, and composition skills; proven technical and persuasive writing skills. Strong oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong command of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; MS Project knowledge desirable. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines.
