IEM is a Mid-sized, growing government solutions firm with a 23 year track record of success. The company is headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA with 7 other offices across the country. We are currently seeking a Compensation Specialist for the Baton Rouge, LA office to be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:Responsible for design, recommendation, implementation, and administration of the company’s compensation programs, including planning, job analysis, classification of positions and monitoringConduct market analysis for compensation of various positions. Utilize survey data to assemble and prepare wage recommendations Maintain job descriptions, evaluate and set up jobs and perform salary administrationAssists with establishing salary structures, developing salary budgets and preparing policies and procedures to insure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensationEnsure all plans and processes are legally compliant, market competitive, and fiscally responsibleParticipate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze market data to determine company’s competitive position relative to base, short term, long term and total cash target positionResponsible for design, recommendation, implementation, and administration of the company’s compensation programs, including planning, job analysis, classification of positions and monitoringConduct market analysis for compensation of various positions. Skills Required:Strong analytical, statistical and project management skills Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills required Vendor management skills in relation to survey companies Ability to analyze and, if appropriate, recommend design alternatives or solutions for base pay, variable pay, profit sharing, executive and equity programs
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related fieldMinimum 3 years of progressive compensation experience, preferably in a scientific or high technology industryExperienced in conducting job analysis and compensation surveys, establishing salary structures, developing salary budgets and managing compensation projects from design through implementationExpertise in compensation statutory requirements, federal and state wage and hour law for the purpose of policy development and maintenance Strong HRIS experience required. Familiarity with Deltek preferred but not required
