Configuration Management

The Configuration Management (CM) Manager will have daily the responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the CM functions for the DCAPES program and other programs as may be assigned. This position requires collaborative work with other functional organizations to ensure proper support is provided. The successful candidate will proactively address configuration management related issues and concerns across the program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of CM procedures and processes, training and mentoring CM staff, and ensuring DoD 5000.2/MIL HDBK 61-A compliance.The successful candidate will design and develop CM policy and procedures to ensure that the project maintains the integrity of complex software, hardware, and documentation throughout the project life-cycle. The successful candidate will be able to maintain version control over multiple baselines being work and/or fielded simultaneously; will be responsible ensuring that existing Change Management and Change Control processes are strictly enforced throughout the development life cycle; and will conduct CM Audits on a regular basis to ensure baseline integrity and to ensure baselines are consistent with documentation.The successful candidate will develop metrics and perform analysis on same to ensure CMMI and contract compliance.Knowledge, Skills, and Basic Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this position must meet the following basic qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or an associated discipline (or equivalent experience = 6 years), in addition to at least 12 years of related experience, which includes:8 years of configuration analysis experience;4 years in a management or lead position;Knowledge of Rational CLEARCASE and CLEARQUEST is desirable but not necessary.Requisite Pro and MS VSS is desirable but not necessary. Exposure to military projects is highly desirable. Experience working with CMMI is highly desirable.
