Corporate Quality Director

Reports To  : Executive Vice President - Operations

 

Job Summary:  The Corporate Quality Director’s primary function is to provide consistent direction and support to all divisions within the

 corporate structure for application of sound process definition and control.  This includes but is not limited to systems for defining product

 specifications and related test procedures, sampling plans, standard operating procedures and metrics for measuring and reporting results in

 consistent format throughout the various divisions.  Additionally, transactional processes will be defined and monitored for consistency across

 all divisions.  Coordination of quality programs at their vendors and application of its quality systems to match customers’ requirements is

 also necessary.

 

A.) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.)  Create and distribute process definition documentation standards including necessary elements:

  i.  Process scope and application

  ii.  Purpose of process

iii.  Process steps

iv.  Responsible parties

  v.  Deliverables and expected frequency

2.)  Train managers and responsible parties to comply with minimum expectations for process definition and control.

3.)  Establish minimum requirements to meet standards for customer expectations and ease of doing business.

4.)  Review vendor quality systems and quality reporting deliverables on a periodic basis.

5.)  Interface with customers as necessary to provide feedback and to ascertain their expectations and requirements.

1.)  Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel & Outlook

2.)  Proficiency in application of ISO and Mil standards for quality systems.

3.)  Self-motivation and positive attitude

4.)  Advanced math skills

5.)  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6.)  Organizational skills

7.)  Ability to lead in a positive way

8.)  Mechanical ability

9.)  Successful experience managing in a continuous improvement environment and formal training in quality systems.
