ERP Practice Manager

 Blackwell Consulting Services of Ohio is expanding again.  We are looking to fill a key role in organization.  The ERP Practice Lead will help build a team of ERP consultants while ensuring client deliverables and projects are being managed effectively.  Responsibilities include project management, client management, business development, and performance management.  Additional responsibilities include assisting the sales team with responding to RFP’s and creating SOW’s. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:
Project Delivery
• Deliver ERP consulting services on time, on budget, with focus on attaining high client satisfaction
• Provide practice area subject matter expertise to develop / review deliverables to maximize quality and apply best practices
• Work within the deployment process to assign the right resources, and minimize lag between signing of SOW and project kick-off
• Ensure practice staff’s compliance with deployment, quality and reporting policies

Practice Development
• Active participation in industry-sponsored events – such as presentations, council meetings, white papers, public-relation events, etc
• Provide Practice Area support (3rd level) to sales and sales support organization (e.g. training sessions, account planning, sales calls, project scoping, SOW development).
• Maintain a personal development plan, exhibit positive growth in agreed upon areas
• Develop and institute quality programs and best practices for service delivery
• Develop and maintain best practices, methodologies, tools, and industry knowledge
• Provide input during marketing/product development lifecycle
• Develop and maintain knowledge base of service materials (proposals, marketing material, methodology, etc) for assigned areas
• Organize, train and equip a team of subject matter experts for assigned areas

General Management
• Establish role and individual staff performance plan and manage to plan
• Directly manage and provide formal mentorship to consulting team members
• Develop and implement training plans for service area specialties and for assigned consulting professionals
• Prepare performance evaluations for assigned consulting professionals

Financial Management
• Achieve target personal utilization of thirty (33) percent
• Achieve target team utilization
• Grow Practice Area’s services to meet forecasted business objectives (Qtr/Yr)
• Comply with practice and financial schedules, procedures and directives
• Contribute to revenue generation and profitability of practice
• Provide input to revenue/utilization forecasts for area

 

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should possess the following:
* A background with a consulting firm and have 7-10 years leading ERP projects
* A minimum of 5 years experience managing project teams
* Demonstrated technical experience with Peoplesoft and/or SAP
* Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written
* Strong interpersonal skills and able to work as a leader or member of a team

* MBA or Master’s degree

* Travel estimated at 30%
