Energy Efficiency Engineer
KEMA Services Inc. is seeking an entry-level engineer to work out of our Oakland, California office.
Tasks will include
Key responsibilities of the position include the following:
· Review and verify technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications, including calculation of energy savings and verification of equipment specifications
· Customer site inspections to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment at small businesses throughout Northern and Central California
· Interact with customers to address questions or concerns about installed equipment or programmatic information
· Database (Access) queries and program data analysis
· Educate contractors about the program
· Provide flexible support to other team members on an as-needed basis
What we're asking
Requirements include at minimum coursework in a technical field such as engineering, architecture or sciences. Work experience may take the place of coursework. In addition, a proven grasp of database and analysis tools such as Access and Excel is recommended. An educational emphasis on energy efficiency and/or energy experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate should also have excellent written and oral communication skills for customer communication. Most importantly, this individual should display a positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment. Must have own vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed.
