Energy Efficiency Technical Specialist
ICF International is currently seeking an outstanding individual to join its Energy Efficiency group in Lexington, MA. The Specialist will work in support of utility sponsored programs that encourage energy-efficiency in multifamily housing and commercial buildings. ICFs Energy & Resources practice offers results and solutions to a broad range of clients in the energy industry in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. We have advised both private and public sector clients in all facets of the energy industry for more than 30 years.

Key Responsibilities Include:Interact with architects, engineers, developers, housing authorities, and facility managers to motivate them to incorporate energy efficiency upgrades into new construction and existing buildingsAnalyze the energy performance of multifamily and commercial buildings, including new construction and existing facilities, to determine cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades and, as necessary, renewable energy systemsConduct on-site energy audits and coordinate building commissioning as neededProvide technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient and renewable energy technologies to companies participating in utility sponsored programsCoordinate with other team members and clients to develop strategies to influence market and increase participation in programsManage budgets and resources to maximize efficienciesPrepare project status reports to accurately monitor progress towards utilities energy efficiency goals, completion of contract deliverables and report annual achievements (units delivered, kW and kWh achieved, emission reductions, etc.)
Qualifications: Bachelors degree (concentration in engineering, environmental science, or energy resources) required / Masters preferred and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience Excellent oral and written communication skillsAdvanced quantitative skillsHighly developed interpersonal and customer relationship management skillsStrong personal computer skills (Microsoft applications)Knowledge of the energy modeling using DOE-2, energy auditing, and ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2001 is essential.
