Field Systems Engineer

Summary: Sun Valley Tech Solutions, a provider of software installation and consulting services, is looking for a field systems engineer responsible for the for the implementation/installation of proprietary products at customer sites with a particular emphasis on quality and VoIP-focused products. As part of the Professional Services Team, you will be working with both customers as well as other SVT personnel to deliver a successful implementation in a variety of technical environments. This includes working with customers to configure the network and telephony technical environments, installing, configuring, and integrating software in the customer’s test and production environment, and performing various validation test to confirm deployment completeness and operational readiness. You will also interface with the Project Manager to ensure issues are efficiently and effectively resolved in a timely fashion. Good customer facing skills as well as the ability to work in dynamic situations are important. Willingness to travel up to 100% in North America is required.


Essential Job Functions:
· Perform product installation and configuration at customer sites and provide project closure information to the Resource Center and Sales.
· Ability to work as a team member with peers and customers in order to achieve successful implementation of our customer's products.
· Troubleshooting networking, operating systems, telephony and other application software while installing or providing service at a customer site.
· Ability to work on a variety of OS and Networks as well as TDM voice and IP telephony while installing our customer's products.
· Provide pre sales technical and integration support to sales and contract staff
· Develop and manage all technical processes related to installation.
· Maintain Project Plan, Hardware Request and Site Survey Documents
· Provide project plan and documentation to Team Leaders for review and get sign off from PM for revenue recognition. Perform customer site surveys and update documentation as needed.
· Support Customer Service Analysts in resolution of customer issues.
· Communicate clearly and effectively with peers, customer and other SVT Team members. Complete paperwork on a weekly basis i.e. timesheet, expenses.


Non-Essential Job Functions
· Assist the Professional Services Team with suggestions for process improvement.
· Assist as a presales resource when requested to assist with technical questions.Requirements· Weekly travel up to 100%. 
· 1 years customer service experience and familiarity with Call Center business and technology.
· Knowledge of leading VoIP switches, including Cisco, I3, Nortel and Avaya etc.
· Experience with both telephony and data communications.
· Software specific working knowledge required of the following: Microsoft Windows 3.1/95/NT, OS/2, Novell 3.11 and higher, DOS 4.0 and higher, Microsoft Office Suite, IPX/SPX, TCP/IP
· Special consideration for MCSE or Formal Training with NORTEL, Aspect, Rockwell, or Lucent phone switches.
· Experience working with voice and data networks in the capacity of design, implementation or project management.
· TSPAI, Genesys, CallPath,CT-Connect or other CTI experience definitely a plus
