Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager

Fast growing Madison Avenue marketing communications firm with blue chip client base seeks highly-motivated responsible individual to handle day-to-day accounting, reporting to the CFO.  This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a lot of interaction with others, has extensive billing experience in the advertising, design, PR or legal industries, a great work ethic and strong attention to detail.

 

R Responsibilities:

 

·  A/R - billing, collection and reconciliation.

·  A/P - billable and non-billable entry and disbursement.

·  Payroll – Preparation and maintenance via payroll bureau.

·  Creation and maintenance of project costing spreadsheets.

·  Client billing file maintenance

·  Internal charge tracking and reconciliation.

·  Bank reconciliations

·  Timesheet reconciliation and analysis.

·  Special projects for CFO.

 

K Key Qualifications

 

·  Five years advertising/design/public relations or law firm experience.

·  Minimum of Associates degree in Accounting.

·  Strong attention to detail essential.

·  Ability to work under tight deadlines.

·  Excellent analytical skills

·  Ability to work well with others in an entrepreneurial environment.

·  Flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment

·  High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel needed.

·  Experience with automated accounting systems required.

·  Sense of humor.
