Summary of Position: Reporting to the Director, Sourcing for Tyco Flow Control, this position is responsible for the management of the Seats and Molded Parts category including development of a long term strategy, strategic management of the supply base and on-going cost improvement. Specific responsibilities include: 1. Drive and manage the strategy for global supply of Seats and Molded Parts for the TFC businesses. 2. Drive supplier performance improvement and cost improvement opportunities 3. Drive reduction to the supply base that supports the business while managing risks financial, political and business. 4. Establish and Manage Global Seats and Molded parts Teams to execute on strategy 5. Increase the performance of the supply base in the areas of quality performance, reduction of lead times and reduction in inventory requirements. Position requires between 25-50% global travel Requirements: Experience and Skills Required: ? 5+ years experience in a global organization with demonstrated expertise in the areas of elastomers, rubber and/or plastic materials, molding process and tooling for molding along with knowledge of related supply markets and supplier economics ? Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or similar required ? Strong comprehension of the global supply markets and trends with the clear understanding of how they might impact the business is required ? Solid understanding of Total Cost of Ownership ? An experienced negotiator with proven track record of success? Ability to develop actionable recommendations based on facts and analysis ? Demonstrated success building commitment and buy in from key stakeholders, and the proven ability to motivate others to take actions ? Relentless drive in searching for, identifying and capturing cost reduction opportunities ? Demanding supplier performance and continuous improvement ?
