HR Generalist Part-Time

We're OperationsInc, a Human Resources Outsourcing and Consulting firm, based in Stamford, Connecticut. Celebrating our seventh (7th) year in business in 2008, we've been supporting businesses by handling HR project work, as well as taking over the entire HR function on an outsourced basis. We have a base of over 150 clients and growing reaching 18 States and 7 different countries, supported by our team of over 20 experienced HR professionals. Due to our phenomenal growth, we are seeking to add an HR Generalist consultant in the NYC metro area.

 

We are seeking a HR Professional who is seeking a flexible, part-time position of between 20 to 30 hours a week, primarily conducted from a combination of your home office and our client's offices in NYC, Westchester County and/or Lower Fairfield County. The nature of the work focuses on HR / Payroll Administration, Training, Policy Drafting, HR Generalist Support, and Recruitment Administration. The work to be performed is at the Administrative levels, as well as some strategic ones and is very hands-on, with our consultants in most instances serving as one-person HR resources for all HR needs. 

 

To qualify you must truly be seeking a flexible work situation on a long-term basis. The more flexible you are in terms of hours and locations the more desirable you will be as a candidate.

 

Further, the ideal candidate MUST have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Generalist within a Human Resources department, with a current / recent proven track record in all the core functions of the department. The ability to operate effectively and efficiently on an independent level, filling in the gaps you locate along the way, is also essential. You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong business sense, and some prior experience operating in small to medium-sized business environments. A broad knowledge of the key components that makeup well communicated HR related documentation is a must as well. Solid PC skills, with a focus on MS Office and the Internet, as well as the ability to learn other software, are also required.

 

To reiterate... This opportunity is a consultative one, with the work being offered on a flexible schedule averaging 20-30 hours per week, based on need. Assignments are compensated based on an hourly rate of $35 - $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
