We currently seek a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team. Based in Chicago, this position will assist with daily HR operations for CRA’s Chicago, Southwest, and West Coast offices of approximately 250 employees and will report to the Director of Human Resources. Candidates should possess three to four years of generalist experience. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and experience with multi-office locations is preferred. Experience in a professional services organization is highly beneficial. Minimal travel (less than 5 percent) may be expected.
The Human Resources Generalist position requires demonstrated experience in HRIS and applicant tracking systems, a general working knowledge of employment law, and strong computer skills. Demonstrated experience in campus recruiting efforts is strongly preferred. We are seeking candidates with exceptional organizational and customer service skills, strong attention to detail and dedication to quality, a high level of initiative, highly effective written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever is needed in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Responsibilities include:
§ Respond to employee inquiries and handle employee relations issues; act as contact for HR policy or procedure questions
§ Coordinate campus recruiting efforts including planning and managing logistics and materials, tracking applicant data, coordinating candidate travel and updating status for management reports
§ Maintain and manage employee personnel files and employee data within PeopleSoft HRIS; generate reports as needed
§ Facilitate new employee orientation and training; manage logistics for national practice orientation held annually
§ Coordinate implementation of performance management process
§ Assist with firm-wide HR projects or initiatives as assigned
§ Provide general administrative support with scheduling, travel, ordering of materials, etc.
