Opportunity

 

UTi’s Miami operations team has an immediate opening for an Import Specialist.  This position will focus on import transactions for major air and ocean accounts, and assist with duties related to document preparation and traffic coordination required to process goods through Customs.  This position is located at a UTi branch in Miami, FL.

 

 

Duties include:

· Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts.

· Process Customs release, OGA release, delivery of cargo, invoicing client, and collection of receivables within defined Company time frames.

· Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, Customs, or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.

· Communicate with clients, coworkers, and supervisors in a clear, concise, and timely manner.

· Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.

· Perform other duties assigned.

 

 

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Strong focus on customer service.

· Maintains attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks.

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

· Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

· Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

· Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter.

· Logistics industry experience is a plus.
