We currently have a need for a summer College Intern in our Atlanta office.

This internship is provided to introduce a student to the management and human resources consulting professions and to the Hay Group. The intern will assist in multiple projects and have an opportunity to be exposed to a wider range of projects. The intern will be assigned a mentor and a project coordinator. The mentor will provide overall support to the intern to assure that their experience is productive. The project coordinator will be responsible for directing and evaluating the intern on their work projects. This is a paid 8-10-week internship.

Responsibilities: Provide research support through data gathering and data analysis for assigned projects from a variety of consulting assignments. Provide administrative and production support on client projects that might include contributions to editing, designing and producing survey and training materials Attend internal client reviews. Track billable and un-billable consulting hours to enhance their understanding of the business of consulting.

Qualifications: This position requires at least two years of college, ideally with a declared major in Business, Psychology or a closely related field. Preference will be given to students with a cumulative GPA at or above 3.0. Ideally, the applicant will have work experience in a professional, team-oriented office environment. Demonstrated skills in research including basic data gathering, data analysis, and correlation based research design.  Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Proficiency in online research.

Selection Process: Applicants are required to mail a one page letter of interest indicating why they are interested in learning more about management and human resources consulting and why they are interested in interning with Hay Group.  Included with the letter of interest should also be a 3-5 page paper that reflects their research, analytical and written communication skills. Applicants must also include proof of their cumulative GPA. Finalists for the internship will participate in two interviews at Hay Group. The final selection decision will be made by a committee of Hay Group consultants.
