For more information, visit www.forrester.com Leadership Development Director FLSA status: Exempt The Leadership Development Director is responsible for building leadership capability and bench strength for Forrester. S/he will do so through the design, development, and implementation of a multiphased, systematic leadership development strategy that supports business objectives and Forrester’s cultural values. Responsibilities include scoping leadership and management development needs, implementing comprehensive programs, and tracking the impact of the solutions over time. This role will ensure that all leadership initiatives provide personal growth for participants as well as improve business performance, strengthen organizational capability, and leverage best practices across Forrester to drive business success. Responsibilities * Needs assessment. Conduct internal and external research to determine management and leadership development needs and approaches. Identify and define requirements for enterprisewide, leadership development solutions. * Strategy development. Develop a cutting-edge, enterprisewide leadership development strategy to achieve the desired level of capability throughout the organization at all levels of management. The strategy will include structured curricula, assessment processes linked to competency models, action learning and rotational programs, as well as programs to meet individual needs for development. Build executive level buy-in and engagement in leadership development strategy. * Program and content development. Design, develop, deploy, and manage learning solutions from premanagement to executive levels. Manage executive and outside vendor involvement in programs. Ensure that management education and development solutions are consistent and integrated across geographies and client groups. * Individual and group assessment. Utilize advanced knowledge of assessments to influence and drive the use of appropriate tools enterprisewide. * Coaching. Provide developmental coaching to a segment of leaders within Forrester to increase their personal effectiveness and develop their leadership and management skills. * Measurement. Evaluate the success of leadership development programs and processes over time. Implement changes to continually increase their business impact to the organization and personal impact on those participating. Minimum Requirements * B.S./B.A., with Master’s in leadership education, organization development, instructional design, or related field preferred. * Minimum of eight years combined experience in leadership development, organization development, or human resources, with four or more at the leadership development level. International experience a plus. * Visible passion for learning and ability to influence all levels of management to drive the learning agenda. * Proven track record of understanding business needs and creating learning solutions to solve business and people management issues. * Proven track record of managing design, development, and implementation of high-impact, large-scale management curricula. * Knowledge of adult development, instructional design techniques, and measures of effectiveness. Knowledge and experience in implementing best practices in learning systems, processes, and methodologies. * Demonstrated project and time management skills, with the ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines. * Strong history of building relationships, gaining credibility and partnering with business leaders and human capital peers. Ability to navigate effectively and influence others across the organization. * Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills. Executive-level verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think systematically. * Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in measurement, data analysis, and interpretation. * High systems competency, including knowledge and use of eLearning tools and other action/self-paced learning methodologies and tools. Experience designing blended solutions including online learning, Webcasting, and videoconferencing. * The ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, handle a multitude of tasks, and be adaptable to change. * Willingness to travel.
