Its continued success and growth relies on the highly talented individuals who make up our team.  To that end, we are seeking an exceptional Sales & Marketing Support Specialist to support the business development processes of our West coast based team.  This position is based in our El Segundo office. 

Position Summary

 

Join a highly customer driven and committed major account team.  You will play a key role in being the central hub of cross-team communications, sales/marketing operations and administrative activities.  You will also act as the key aide for the SVP in managing the business unit and driving sales activities.

 

The nature of the work requires proven ability to multi-task and re-prioritize regularly, a high sense of urgency, use of initiative, tact and a commitment to excellence.  Ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality or efficiency of work product.  Exceptional internal customer service focus is essential.  Role requires ability to work with multiple professionals, all with competing needs, and therefore demands an ability to instantly analyze critical path priorities while balancing and delivering the short/medium term needs of the team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Marketing Support:Implement marketing outreaches and focused communications (email and direct marketing campaigns); manage tracking in databases.Manage client touch programs, including selection of supporting collateral, white papers and articles.Manage preparation of client presentations and proposals.Act as the key Super-user of the current Customer Relationship Management system to ensure critical Business Intelligence is captured and shared.Conduct research on clients and products.Review journals and periodicals regularly to identify prospective leads and client-targeted articles. Plan and coordinate special events.

 

Operational Support:Be accountable for all team processes, ensuring follow-up triggers are in place and occurring as planned.  Prepare operational reports, including the creation of Excel spreadsheets for business unit metrics, as well as consultant and client information.  Schedule and coordinate weekly team meetings and prepare supporting documentation.Act as the key support partner to the Senior Vice President in coordinating and executing the business plan of the business unit.

 

 

Job Requirements

 Hands-on experience in supporting sales teams with executing lead generation programs and client research.Knowledge of the corporate selling process including client identification, prospecting, touch campaigns, marketing communications and brand building.Experience in a marketing/operations/sales support role in corporate setting, preferably supporting fast-paced sales-related efforts.Savvy communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills; outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.  Expert level internet research skills.  Experience with sales focused CRM, particularly salesforce.com, would be a plus.Strong commitment to principles of excellent customer service. Strong sense of urgency including the ability to meet or exceed deadlines, set priorities.High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Fun, out-going, motivated and driven to succeed with a “can-do” attitude.Preference for industry experience in a professional services context. Undergraduate degree highly preferred.
