.Net Developer

Description


Aon Corporation needs an experienced .NET Developer for their Winston-Salem, NC location.

Job Functions
* Participate in meetings to review requirements, technical designs and provide mentoring and guidance.
* Mentor development teams on object-oriented analysis and design of distributed, web-based architectures
* Maintain a knowledge base of emerging technologies and products.
* Shape technical strategies by working with enterprise architecture group (Technology, Strategy and Architecture Group).
* Database development including schema design, constrains, index, store procedures, triggers, Views.
* In collaboration with enterprise architecture group, develop future state vision of a services-oriented architecture (SOA). Create and maintain evolutionary plans to move future state vision of SOA.
* Maintain cognizance of industry trends and new products to identify opportunities based on technical knowledge and industry trends. 
 



Requirements


Minimum work experience required:

Five years of comprehensive programming background with solid experience in the systems design and full development life cycle. The programming experience must include the following:

* 5 years of solid .NET development experience.
* Experience in ASP.NET 2.0, C# 2.0, XML, ADO.NET, WCF, .NET Remoting, Asynchronous method calls, Web Services, COM, COM, MSMQ, SQL, RDBMS, MS SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio and MS Windows technologies.
* Experience on .NET production application deployment options. N-tiered systems, DMZ, Load Balancing, Clustering and Failover Windows technologies.
* Experience with development and deployment of secure web services.
* Experience with production application monitoring tools.
* Experience with SQL Server, Schema design and writing stored procedures, database maintenance experience desirable.
* Experience with SQL 2005, Integration Services and Reporting Services a plus
* Experience working with and developing distributed web applications
* Application and database performance tuning tools/methodologies
* Experience developing windows client/server based database application is a plus
* Configuration and deployment of ClickOnce applications in a plus

Programming Languages/Technologies:
Required: VB6, ASP 3.0, VB.NET/C#, JavaScript, PLSQL, XML/XSLT
A plus: AJAX/JSON, Web Services, ClickOnce, SilverLight,

Tools:
Microsoft Visual Studio 6/2003/2005, Microsoft Visual Source Safe 6, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, SQL Server Profiler, Microsoft IIS 6, Altova XML Spy, Microsoft Office 2003, Telerik Components

 

* Excellent leadership and negotiation skills, proven track record at establishing strong relationships and working effectively through others in order to accomplish business objectives. Ability to effectively communicate direction/vision.

* Experience working in a distributed environment is a plus.
