Our client is looking for someone with lead experience and a sound understanding of Network Security principles.  Experience should include knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, VPN’s and ability to perform security audits/analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs/implements complex security environments.
- Works under general direction from senior management.
- Establishes/recommends policies on security.
- Provides technical lead and/or supervises a team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or papers, acting
as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers,
and working closely with upper management.
- A solid understanding of network security; understands the concept of physical, data and human
factors when discussing security.
- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands
principles of routing.
- Effective troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities in a security environment.
- Ability to identify security threats and provide insight into their mitigation.
- Has an understanding of ISO 17799 and it's implications on network security practices.

REQUIRED PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:
- CheckPoint Firewall-1 and VPN-1
- Nokia IPSO experience

DESIRED SKILLS/PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:
- IBM Internet Security Systems products (formerly ISS products)
- Unix/Linux knowledge
- Experience with open source security tools.
- CISSP certification
- Cisco certification
- Experience with identity management solutions
- Symantec security product experience
- Virtualization (VMWare, Xen)
- OS hardening and security
- Database security (Oracle, MySQL)
- Web application security
