Visit at: http://blogs.forrester.com/colony/2008/01/welcome.html Product Marketing Specialist, IT Client Group Description: The Product Marketing Specialist will work closely with our Product Managers and Role Managers to create and execute a marketing plan to promote RoleView, Forrester’s syndicated research product; Consulting; and Forrester Leadership Boards, a peer-to-peer executive program; to our target clients who are generally IT professionals at $1billion-plus companies. The Product Marketing Specialist will help develop case studies, marketing collateral, and Web site content to support these offerings. Furthermore, the Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for promoting the IT offerings through marketing campaigns, presence at Events, and sales awareness activities. Responsibilities: * Lead market research efforts to understand and know the key roles and their needs in an effort to create targeted, more-relevant marketing efforts. * Ensure consistency in messaging across products for key roles. * Maintain and update role profiles. * Maintain consulting repositories including: Project Repository, Case Studies Library, *References Repository, etc., for IT consulting offerings. * Generate quarterly marketing plans for key roles based on product performance and business strategy. * Serve as internal liaison and contact person for IT Client Group key roles * Manage and develop (or support the development of) standard sales, marketing, and some delivery tools and materials -- collateral, client presentation templates, meeting agendas, interview guides, and presentation templates. * Collaborate with Corporate Marketing to develop case studies, Web site content, and other marketing collateral that supports the sales process. * Promote the IT Client Group by maintaining and upgrading the role Web sites (work with the Role Manager and Corp Marketing), marketing campaign activities, and presence at *Forrester and external events. Promotional activities include: acquisition, retention, and enrichment. * Track lead development and success of each marketing activity. * Support sales training efforts by providing input for tools and materials. * Provide role-specific input for monthly IT sales update newsletter, including IT-specific Win Wire communications * Create and manage sales support pages on the Intranet. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field. * Two or more years of relevant experience in the high-tech sector. * Effective organization and time-management skills. * Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills. * The ability to learn quickly and work independently. * Enthusiasm, assertiveness, and creativity. * A customer-service-focused attitude. * Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. * The ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
