Procurement Manager/Category Manager

Growing provider of Integrated Purchasing Services is expanding nationwide. As such we are seeking experienced purchasing professionals to join our team. In the role of Procurement Manager/Category Manager you will work with National, Regional and Local suppliers to develop competitive solutions for our client base across a number of vertical markets.

 Develop and expand category expertise in current expense categoriesPioneer new category/market work through research, supplier qualification and developmentSource, qualify and engage national, regional and local suppliers to provide a competitive offering that can be extended to our client baseCreate mechanisms to develop, manage existing supplier baseCreate strategies to develop new suppliersCoordinate the competitve quote process across a number of categoriesWork with Sourcing analysts to execute analysis and develop client recommendations

 

 

The successful candidates will have the following skills and expertise:5-8 years of Sourcing, Category and Purchasing Management experienceBachelor Degree in Business or Related fieldWell developed written and verbal communication skillsExecutive presenceFluent in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerpointHighly organized Well develope analytical skillsAbility to work in a flexible work environmentCPM certification is a plus
