Project Manager, Quality Consultant, National Clinical Practice GuidelinesPurpose:Responsible for leading and coordinating the identification, design, development, and implementation of national evidence-based guidelines and practice resources for the Care Management Institute; and supporting the successful dissemination and integration of guidelines and practices resources to KP regions and local areas including integration into KPHC and various decision-support tools.Major Responsibilities:* In conjunction with the Knowledge Services Practice Leader, CMI Methodologist and Medical Director for Clinical Strategy, provides overall project management to initiate, coordinate, and facilitate the development of national evidence-based guidelines and practice resources, other types of knowledge products and clinician tools designed to improve member outcomes and organizational performance throughout KP within a specified timeline.* As requested, conducts systematic literature reviews, critically evaluates the research methods and statistical findings of published health outcome studies, and develops evidence-based clinical practice guidelines based on these findings and presents results to inter-regional experts. * Prepares evidence synopsis and highlight implications of findings for clients, project sponsors and senior leaders.* Develops relationships with various KP entities, individuals, external organizations and vendors to identify existing content and evidence including KP HealthConnect sources, tools and professional society guidelines.* Assists in the identification of industry, market, and clinical trends that are applicable to KPs delivery of evidence-based medicine and approaches, products to ensure quality, efficiency and credibility.* Helps support National Guideline Directors and Guideline Quality Committees goals, activities and meetings. Builds and maintains effective working relationships with them.* Works with other CMI staff to ensure the final production, dissemination and posting of guidelines and other knowledge products on appropriate internal and external web sites as well as integration into KP Health Connect. * Provides on-site support as requested to assist in the successful dissemination of National Evidence-based guidelines to facilitate attainment of KPs organizational objectives.* Provide leadership and facilitates the understanding and pursuit of evidence-based medicine through out KP.Minimum Requirements:* Bachelors degree in health sciences, public health, social science, or other related analytic field or equivalent experience required. Masters degree in Public Health with emphasis in Epidemiology and/or Biostatistics preferred.* 5+ years of demonstrated experience in applied quantitative statistics, research methods (study design, critical appraisal), and analysis and experience in health care and project management.* Knowledge of internet search engines and databases; demonstrated expertise in searching for scientific literature on the internet.Kaiser Permanente offers exceptional benefits.
