Job Description:

The QA Specialist for the Verification & Validation Practice is responsible for developing CMMI engineering process descriptions, flowcharts, and supporting documentation while maintaining the Engineering Process Handbook. He/she will develop and support migration and implementation plans to move to CMMI Level 2 and beyond as well as develop and deliver training on CMMI processes.

 

Duties will include the review of system requirements, requirement management plans and SDLC planning documents in order to provide feedback to improve content for all development efforts and ensure practices are acceptable. The QA Specialist will also prepare and brief Sr. Management during reviews and establish and adhere to the QA schedule.

 

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

· Must be able to perform independent reviews of software testing and processes to ensure compliance with standards.

· Must serve as expert with key knowledge in areas of:

 Test Management, Test Oversight activities and Quality Assessment.Test software implementation, maintenance, and execution.Developing test reports that communicate project status, issues and findings.

· Must ensure requirements for production and accuracy are met.

· Must create ways to improve production and increase the quality of the work within the team.

· Gives advice, counsel, and instruction to team members on work matters.

· Provides recommendations on performance rating for team members.

· Preferred skills required:Posses the ability to obtain a federal government clearance.Prior management experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of Mercury Suite testing toolAble to work independently on multiple concurrent tasks in a highly dynamic environment.Strong project management skillsStrong organizational, communication (both verbal and written) and teaming/collaborative skills.Experience with IBM Rational Requisite Pro or comparable requirements management tool.Demonstrated success in learning new areas and overall problem solving.Familiar with current software testing methodologies, such as black box, white box, and boundary testing.
