This position will be in our Watson Wyatt Data Services office located in the town of Rochelle Park, in Northern New Jersey.
Overview:
The Receptionist is responsible for first impressions of Watson Wyatt Data Services via face and phone. The Receptionist is the first person encountered by both internal and external clients and is expected to consistently represent Watson Wyatt in a professional manner, while managing all front desk functions as assigned. The Receptionist will also be responsible for performing some HR coordination and administrative assignments in an accurate and timely manner. This position will also be required to provide any administrative support to the office staff members as requested.
Responsibilities:Greet visitors and advise associates of their arrival. Receive incoming calls on a multi-line switchboard; answer general inquiries; connect callers with appropriate individuals. Keep reception desk and waiting area neat and orderly. Maintain associate sign-in and telephone lists. Monitor front desk security by ensuring all guests sign in, as appropriate. Maintain current schedule of all conference room facilities. Proactively consult with associates regarding catering or other needs; place catering orders for some meetings; reconcile catering bills and prepare them for payment; coordinate AV needs with the Internal Systems Administrator. Perform various clerical functions such as typing, filing, and other related duties, as assigned. Qualifications:Previous receptionist experience (2-3 years) in a professional environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, pleasant, and personable telephone skills essential. Personal computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently with little supervision and frequent interruptions, and carry projects through to completion. Ability to work positively and cheerfully under pressure, as well as display high energy level. Ability and willingness to protect confidentiality and use professional judgment. Attention to detail, excellent proofreading skills, and ability to establish priorities and multi task. Ability to assume responsibility, be accountable, take initiative, and solve problems creatively. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of associates and clients.Desire and ability to work as part of a team. Solid work principles, high level of integrity, and strong belief in internal and external customer service. Excellent attendance, reliability, and the willingness to work the hours necessary to do the job. Must Have Skills:Receptionist experience in a professional services environment. (Min. Experience of 2-5 yrs)
