The Advisory Board Company's Academy team is currently accepting applications for a research analyst position. As a member of the team developing this new Advisory Board initiative, the analyst will spearhead the conception and design of training and development tools and modules designed to help health care leaders master the leadership, business and operations skills required to succeed in their roles.
The position offers a unique opportunity to participate in building a new Advisory Board service line and to gain in-depth knowledge of the leadership and managerial skills essential for strong performance in most professional careers. We are seeking candidates interested in making a commitment to participating in the program development.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on key leadership, business and hospital operations topics to be covered in classroom training sessions and independent study modules for health care leaders
Distill large amounts of information and data from multiple sources into meaningful conclusions, and prepare thoughtful, accurate, and detailed summaries of those conclusions
Design, develop, write text and create graphics for training modules that lift out key insights and maximize participants'' learning
Contribute to overall curriculum planning and product design efforts
Design and develop diagnostic and progress assessment tools designed to measure the development needs of health care leaders and their progress in meeting development objectives
Teach content of training modules to speakers and facilitators who serve as Academy faculty
Characteristics of the ideal candidate:
Outstanding record of achievement with regard to quality of work, professionalism, work ethic, analysis, resourcefulness, and creativity
Independence and resourcefulness necessary to complete research assignments and develop hypotheses with moderate amount of direction
Strong research skills, using both primary and secondary sources of information; fundamental knowledge of business research resources
