M/F/D/V.Position OverviewPerforms administrative projects related to qualified retirement plans, including compliance testing, plan comparison and analysis, participation in compliance audits, analysis for defined contribution plan vendor searches and fee benchmarking projects, assistance with the preparation of proposals, and some Form 5500 preparation. Reports to PMG Team Manager.Responsibilities* Understands and performs nondiscrimination testing including 401(a)(4), 410(b), 415, 416, 401(k), 401(m). * Quality reviews all work for accuracy. * Prepares professional correspondence and reports. * Recognizes potential and actual issues/problems and applies technical knowledge, research and analysis to help the team develop creative and innovative solutions. * Maintains complete and accurate work papers and audit trails. * Communicates with client team on a proactive and ongoing basis. * Reads and understands plan documents, amendments, resolutions, etc. * Keeps current on changes to the Internal Revenue Code sections and regulations governing qualified retirement plans. * Attends and contributes to client, team, and internal meetings. * Attends and contributes to internal training. * Provides support as necessary to other retirement specialists. * Meets assigned billable requirements in a time efficient manner. Secondary Responsibilities* Performs miscellaneous projects as needed by the client, team, and Watson Wyatt. * Assists consultant in drafting of client bills as needed. * Supports Performance Development Process by providing feedback to associates within the practice. .
