Company Overview The Gallup Poll is the longest continuing monitor of public opinion in the United States. It routinely monitors Americans’ opinions of elected leaders, policy, and general views of life today. In 2005, Gallup initiated a new measurement of the well-being and overall status of the world’s citizens — the Gallup World Poll. This piece of the Gallup Poll surveys samples representative of 95% of the Earth’s adult population, which provides access to the voices, hearts, and minds of citizens in more than 130 countries and areas. The Opportunity Gallup disseminates Gallup World Poll information on a daily basis, through both survey analyses posted on www.Gallup.com and through individual consulting work with organizations around the globe. Gallup is searching for a talented and knowledgeable student to join the World Poll team as a Russian World Poll Intern. Specifically, Gallup needs a diligent researcher and writer who is enthusiastic about survey research and how the data can tell stories and inform readers about the social climate in Russia and former Soviet Union countries. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with SPSS or SAS and will be able to speak and write fluently in both English and Russian, as this internship calls for analyzing raw data captured from world citizens and creating articles detailing specific economic and social well-being issues in Russia and the former Soviet Union countries. Gallup World Poll interns work in either Gallup’s Princeton, NJ, or Washington, D.C., offices. They partner with Gallup’s professional survey analysts and consultants to learn the processes and systems Gallup uses to power the World Poll. Interns typically work 10-25 hours per week for up to one year, hours that are flexible and compatible to accommodate the student’s class schedule. Upon graduation, World Poll interns are given top priority for full time professional opportunities at Gallup.
