ICF International seeks a senior level communications professional to join a consulting team responsible for strategic planning, performance management, and communications for a rapidly growing U.S. Navy IT transformation Program Management Office. The office supports the full range of applications and afloat infrastructure for the Navy’s manpower, planning, training, and education capabilities.

Responsibilities: Develop and execute communications plans, including tactics such as the rollout of a program identity, management of a Web portal, written communication products, and PowerPoint presentations to support and encourage the use of the program’s software products and services. This person must also be able to advise on the organization’s internal communication infrastructure and processes.

Must: Have experience developing communications/marketing/information products for the Navy, Marine Corp, or Joint Forces Command Understand media relations policies and procedures related specifically to DoD and/or military Public Affairs Offices (PAOs) Have experience developing and executing communications plans Be adept at establishing collaborative relationships with professionals of all stripes, standing, and styles Have experience supporting electronic communications tools (e.g., content development and management) Be independent, a self-starter, and a quick learner and enjoy working in a collaborative environment Be able to identify clients’ communications needs and meet/exceed them Be comfortable absorbing complex information and simplifying it for diverse audiences Have a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, mass communications, or a related field and at least 7 years of internal and external communications experience.

Preferred:Have worked in a DoD or military IT program acquisition environment or in netcentric information operations Experience working on-site at a client location Experience working in a government consulting environment Understanding of defense business transformation within current National Security context
