Senior Consultant -Senior Desktop Architect
Project Leadership Associates (PLA) is currently recruiting experienced Desktop Consultants to join our Enterprise Desktop Solution Group. Candidates will provide expertise in Desktop Engineering. The ideal consultant will also be able to provide guidance with the planning, development and deployment of desktop infrastructure. Experience with BDD, SMS, Altiris, NetInstall, FlexNet AdminStudio, Wise Installation Studio or other desktop management tool is a plus. Candidates should be hard working individuals with the willingness to meet high customer satisfaction levels and provide industry thought leadership around Desktop Lifecycle Management. Candidate should also meet the following criteria.
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Windows Vista and XP deployments and migrations (250+ seats)
Experience in scripting using VbScripting, Windows Scripting Host
Experience with desktop and server technologies
Experience with Microsoft Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) solution accelerator
Strong experience in architecting Windows Vista, Windows XP, and desktop management infrastructure
Able to design, create, debug and install Zero Touch Deployment Methodology
Experience with developing and implementing custom solutions as well a bringing new ideas to a team environment
Overall Responsibilities
Responsible for leadership and delivery of project based assignments that encompass Image development, desktop infrastructure optimization, Application packaging, and proof-of-concept and deployment services for Enterprise and Mid-Market customers.
Responsible for managing smaller projects or segments of larger projects. Has moderate to heavy contact with middle and senior level executives. Requires proven project management and methodology skills.
Support and lead solution group development initiatives through development of solution offerings, pre-sales support and marketing efforts.
Perform application package reviews of client application packages and prepare findings documents outlining recommendations and best practices.
Facilitate and lead client configuration planning meetings for specific application packaging projects.
Strong customer relationship skills and willingness to lead customers through successful challenging projects.
Establish reputation as subject matter expert in application packaging.
RequirementsFive years minimum experience in application packaging
Two years minimum consulting experience
Proven written and presentation skills to various audiences
