Senior Managers assume day-to-day project management and client relationship management, responding to clients' needs. Senior Managers also participate in new business development efforts and respond to Requests for Proposals. They collaborate with other professionals by defining team roles and responsibilities, facilitating goal setting, and solving problems in alignment with organizational objectives. Senior Managers coach other team members. They assist in the generation of intellectual capital development activities by representing the firm at conferences, collaborating with other professionals on client development initiatives and staying abreast of key developments in their areas of expertise. Senior Managers function as thought leaders, and contribute to the firm's intellectual capital. They also assist in the recruitment and development of professional staff, which may include developing and/or conducting periodic training sessions.
Engagements vary and may include corporate and business level strategy, business model development and improvement, operational strategy, supply chain analysis and management, and post-merger integration. All projects are focused on providing clients with a superior return on investment.
Successful Senior Managers possess outstanding leadership skills, subject matter expertise, creativity, maturity, judgment, superior written and oral presentation skills, proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment, professional integrity, and a relentless commitment to client satisfaction.
This position is for employment, not contract work. It based in New York with clients in New Jersey. We do not provide relocation services, and are seeking candidates who reside in the New York metro area and who can commute to clients in New Jersey daily.
Additionally, we are seeking candidates with:
• Experience consulting to Telecommunications or Wireless clients such as AT&T or Verizon providing services such as program management, process redesign, cost reduction strategies, operations improvement, business case development, and change management (communication strategy, facilitation, organizational alignment, etc.)
• 8+ years professional experience with a minimum of 3 years recent experience working for a mid-sized or large consulting firm (such as Big 5 Management Consulting) in a role that is responsible for client relationship management, business development efforts, and hands-on delivery of consulting services
• Oversight of large consulting teams (10+ members) or several, simultaneous consulting engagements comprised of smaller teams
• Work planning, work estimating, project management, issue/risk management and resolution
• Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate client and consulting teams within a collaborative environment
• Participation in the sales process, contributing to proposals and acting as subject matter expert to assist in closing new business
• Knowledge of marketing strategies, sales centers, and sales operations within the telecom industry is preferred
• Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. is required
