The Senior Services Division at Vital Research conducts independent satisfaction surveys nationwide for all levels of care, including skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living. Projects in this division range from very small to very large-scale client projects that involve complex planning, coordination, and resource requirements.

The Senior Project Manager/Researcher is responsible for the overall direction and operation of the Senior Services division.

 

Description of duties:

 Program Planning

·  Create a strategic direction for the division to achieve the business and financial goals. 

·  Work with senior team to understand and analyze internal and external conditions that could have impact on the company’s success in the short-term and the long-term. 

·  Analyze current processes and procedures to find more efficient and effective ways of doing work and presenting products.

·  Analyze business information to identify key issues, assess financial impacts, and understand the firm’s competition. 

·  Develop comprehensive, realistic short-range plans to accomplish team and individual work assignments. 

·  Develop new products and instruments.Personnel Management

·  Supervise and provide feedback to team members

·  Work with team members to accomplish internal and external goals.

·  Ensure that project team members maintain a strong customer focus.

·  Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork.

·  Train staff on how to exhibit excellent decision-making skills for effective project management in terms of planning, coordination of activities, and resource allocation.Client Relations

·  Act as the primary client contact on large-scale projects.

·  Meet with clients and provide high level consultation

·  Deal tactfully with client relations or problems and support project team members when sensitive client issues arise.Project Implementation

·  Design instruments, reports, presentations, and overall project plans.

·  Establish the protocols and methodology for the collection, entry, and management, and analysis of client data. 

·  Write narrative reports and provide quality improvement recommendations. 

·  Review report content and make editorial recommendations.

·  Ensure the accuracy of all relevant data in order to produce quality products for clients.

·  Conduct field personnel trainings.

·  Prepare and deliver presentations to clients.Marketing/new business development

·  Develop accurate and consistent project proposals to meet short-term or long-term client needs. 

·  Collaborate with Marketing Communications Manager to implement marketing initiatives.

·  Present at conferences and market services at exhibit booth.

·  Remain current on research trends and public policies that can have a potential impact on the success of the Senior Services Division.

·  Advanced computer skills.

 

Background and Experience:  Master’s Degree or higher in gerontology or related area.Must have thorough knowledge of statistical and research methods used to support various types of client projects, e.g., surveys, interviews, etc.Must have at least five years of successful leadership/management experience.Must have at least five years of experience within the Senior Services field.
