The Senior Systems Consultant functions as both a project management resource as well as business analyst in support of Concur's financial solutions vertical within the IS-Application Services department. A key to this role's success will depend upon the candidate's ability to maintain strong working relationship with our internal business partners which encompasses finance, accounting, and others as necessary. Additionally, this individual will partner with internal clients and users to provide support and recommendations through requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, and implementation plans in order to meet corporate goals and objectives.
This position requires an analytical mindset, accuracy, attention to detail and creative problem solving abilities. As a senior level project management resource you will coordinate and assemble cross functional teams, create project plans, manage scope and actively engage in resource planning, leveraging proven standards within a project management framework to execute daily work activities. This position will report to the Manager, Financial Solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Become cross-functional subject matter expert relating to internal client data systems and applications.
• Review, analyze and recommend process efficiencies.
• Gather and document business and functional requirements.
• Partner with business process owners in the organization to meet corporate objectives.
• Identify, track and analyze key metrics that impact the business.
• Execute special projects as assigned.
• Work with key stakeholders and executive sponsors to define project deliverables, key measures of success, and estimated ROI.
• Maintain excellent communication regarding project status and priorities with project sponsors, driving planning and tracking of tasks, schedule, resources, dependencies and success criteria.
• Comply with corporate policies.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience & Training required:
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting / finance, or technology.
• 5+ years dealing with enterprise software.
• Software or related industry experience preferred.
• Experience working with functional business owners.
• 3+ year Business analysis experience required.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with project execution in one or more of the following areas: application life cycle processes; projects to improve customer and/or business relationship management, or projects to deliver quality or cost reduction through improvements to operational processes.
• Ability to pass a background check.
Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Financials especially Oracle 11i and how various modules fit together
• Deep knowledge of the following Oracle Modules: Billing, Reporting, Receivables & Bill Pay, Service Contracts, Pricing, and Order Management.
• Experience with entire SDLC and writing business requirements, functional specs, technical requirements and table names in Oracle.
• Extensive experience with financial applications and transaction flow
• Business analysis experience
• Understanding of business and accounting processes.
• Project management experience, including managing large projects and multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to retrieve and analyze information from various client data systems
• Interpersonal skills, communication and influence with senior level
• Maximize productivity of existing resources, increase throughput and utilization and plan for capacity changes.
• Experience with reporting tools, including Discover
• Familiarity with enterprise client data systems
• Experience with MS Office Suite, MS Project and Visio
