Senior Technical Project Manager

Hi-Tech Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Technical Project Manager to utilize the Knowledge Management Areas to apply the PM Executing process group to IT projects of large complexity. The Executing phase consists of coordinating people and other resources to carry out the plan for projects or groups of related projects.

Location: Green Bay, Wiconsin

Contract Length: 10-11 Months



Requirements


Experience Required:5 years in leading IT projects utilizing formal project management methodology. 5 years in working in a professional IT role. 5 years formal/informal leadership.

Knowledge in Specific Area:Project Management Certification. Accounting & Finance-Understanding of project affect on Rates, Budgets, O&M, Capital, etc. Project Budget Development and Administration. Human Resources-General understanding of Human Resource practices and policies desirable. Information Management-Understanding of application and infrastructure solutions, methodologies, life cycles, development tools, build verses buy analysis and vendor selection. Project Management-Complete understanding of five project management process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling & Closing) and the nine project management knowledge areas (Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, HR, Communication, Risk, Procurement & Integration). Computer Technology-MS Project, Word, Excel & email/calendaring tools. Energy Industry-Knowledge of the industry desirable. Other General awareness of Competitive Excellence tools and methods for continuous process improvement, including a basic understanding of how to properly apply them during project execution. Understanding of the compliance requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act and its application across Information Technology controls. General understanding of communication, training and organizational design concepts as they relate to change management.
