Whether in the area of marketing services, IT hardware, MRO, facilities or raw materials, we help our customers establish and manage supplier contracts and partnerships that deliver better pricing, value and service.   The Position:   ICG Commerce is seeking a Sourcing Associate to support specific steps in the sourcing of Direct Materials for Fortune 500 companies. In this capacity, you will be based out of ICG Commerce’s King of Prussia office and will have frequent interaction with team members and customers in the execution of projects that help customers achieve significant value in the form of improved pricing, quality and supplier performance.  Specifically, you will: · Provide day-to-day support to sourcing teams in producing customer deliverables and achieving project milestones · Provide analytical support for sourcing projects, including data collection, data analysis, score carding and supplier market research · Participate in sourcing initiatives aimed at improving productivity and efficiency to support company and account growth · Offer creative solutions to support sourcing projects and achieve desired results   The Opportunity: · Gain exposure to all aspects of the sourcing process, including Negotiations and Contracting · Expand supplier and customer management skills · Develop deep category-specific knowledge to bring added value to sourcing projects and advance career development · Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to deliver significant results



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

· A bachelor’s degree or equivalent

· Strategic sourcing experience within a Fortune 500 company or a leading consultancy or in any manufacturing operations or supply chain position

· Solid understanding of and experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis

· Proficiency with Excel and Access tools

· Excellent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills

· Excellent multi-phase project management skills

· Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational structure working with multiple internal clients

· Adaptable management style to conform to the varied corporate cultures and organizational structures of our customers

· Understanding of strategic sourcing, process/supplier implementation and change management best practices preferred

· Knowledge of procurement operations preferred

· Experience with global manufacturing or strategic sourcing is a plus

 

Travel:

· This position requires travel of approximately 40-50% to multiple customer locations.
