Senior HVAC Design Engineer

Senior HVAC Engineer Needed: Immediate job opening at the San Jose office. Min. BSME, 10 years experience working with consulting engineering firm as HVAC engineer, PE preferred. AutoCAD proficiency required. Recent employment experience with an HVAC consulting engineering firm in the construction industry, or with a design-build mechanical contractor required. A highly motivated self-starter with exceptional communication and computer skills is required to assist project management staff with load calculations, equipment selection, Title 24 compliance documentation, sizing and layout of ductwork and piping, and drafting. Must be proficient at coordinating HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping layouts with architectural/structural designs to prevent conflicts during construction.

The selected candidate will have demonstrated competency in the following:HVAC system design and component selectionsCompleting project tasks within established design budgets. Coordination of HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping layouts with architectural/structural designs and with in-house electrical and plumbing engineers to prevent conflicts during construction. Coordination with equipment vendors and suppliers for selected equipment,  Equipment Selection using on-line vendor supplied software and/or catalog information. Conducting site visits to verify and document existing conditions.
