We currently have an opening for a Manager, Strategic Sourcing based at our member Cooper’s location in Findley, Ohio.

Position Description

 

The Manager, Strategic Sourcing will be a part of an internal Account Team and will work very closely with the member’s purchasing team. You will advise on e-Sourcing strategies by working very closely with both the buyers and the suppliers to understand the cost structure and supply chain process, with the goal of delivering the end results desired by the buyer. You will plan, initiate, and execute strategic sourcing projects involving one or more of RubberNetwork’s members utilizing RubberNetwork’s sourcing tools and sourcing processes. Additionally, you will maintain an effective communication and rapport with each member of the Cooper’s purchasing team, always working to satisfy their sourcing support needs.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

To be considered for this position, we require the following:

 

Ø  BA/BS degree and/or related work experience.

Ø  Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant purchasing experience (especially in the area of services, indirect materials, or capital equipment), preferably with an international company

Ø  Minimum of 3 years in a customer or client interfacing role (consulting experience desired)

Ø  An in-depth understanding of purchasing and procurement processes

Ø  Excellent project management skills with the specific ability to manage several concurrent projects

Ø  Relevant experience in the use of e-Sourcing technology and business process

Ø  The ability to work as part of a small dynamic organization

Ø  Self-starter, deadline and detail oriented, great persuasive and follow-up skills
