Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing hardware and software support on site and over the phone to the corporate office and 5 regional offices. Personal interactions include employees at all levels in order to resolve problems and implement new solutions. The Systems Administrator will report to the DRS Information Technology Manager. - Technical troubleshooting of hardware and software issues courteously and expeditiously - Answer and appropriately handle incoming customer support requests via phone, email, voicemail, IM, and in-person requests; escalate or transfer problems when appropriate - Document, track, and monitor all problem/resolution activity in the tracking system in order to ensure a timely resolution - Stage, configure, and deploy new and existing desktops/laptops/peripherals - Install basic PC software applications (MS Office Suite, Project, Visio, Acrobat, etc.) - First and second level support for personal computer upgrades and installations - Assist in hardware and software asset management - Assist in the hardware warranty repair process - Rotate after-hours support coverage with other teammates - Continuous development of problem solving techniques, and the creation of more efficient support methods - Participate in team projects that enhance the quality of the support service level and promote technical and career growth - Assist in IT-related purchasing activities, such as shipping & receiving - Other IT-related operations, administration and maintenance functions as requested - Education and Certifications: • High School diploma • Associates / Bachelors degree or certificate program desirable • Citrix CCA, CCEA or CCIA desirable • MCSE desirable • A+ desirable - 2+ years experience in an IT support environment - Extensive knowledge in the following technologies: • Microsoft Windows XP Professional • Office Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) • VPN and remote access clients • Citrix Presentation Manager/Server - Experience using and configuring: • Microsoft Internet Explorer • Adobe Acrobat Reader • Trend AntiVirus • 3rd Party hosted E-Discovery review platforms (Zantaz, Ringtail, IConect, etc) - Thorough understanding of PCs, peripherals, and networking - Excellent understanding of Help Desk operations - Thorough understanding of Citrix Presentation Server - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical, non-technical staff, and end users - Excellent customer service and listening skills - Strong teamwork skills in order to maintain strong working relationships within and outside IT and to develop a results-oriented work environment - Excellent follow-up skills in order to see tasks through to resolution and to communicate problem status to end users, such as notification of completion, notification of delay, and explaining rationale - Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management skills - Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks - Ability to share knowledge and work plans and to teach, learn, and manage conflict - Ability to work independently Travel: Approximately 10% or less Please apply through our website at www.huronconsultinggroup.com/careers.aspx.
